loose stool once, vomited, what to do? has been sick for 11 dasy, normally east well, very low in appetoe, i am trying to give him water, he drinks soy milk ususlly, but iwas trying to avoid it too, but i talked to teh doc, he sadi it is ok , yogurt is fine, my concern is how long does it last and what to do if my munchkin doesn not really want to teat? he is getting skinny, do not really like it. did not threw up for 2 days, but did today agai, is it every will go away?

Does your doctor know your toddler has been sick for 11 days? Viruses usually run their course within a week, so this seems an awfully long time for the same illness. Is there any fever involved? Is he listless? I would be getting him in for an exam if he hasn't shown any improvement by now.

Forget what the Dr has said and take him to the emergency department of your hospital!11 days is a long time for a child to be that sick!

Well the first thing to do is take him to the doctors right away. Then get him checked out and if its JUST a bug then all he needs is rest and lots of fluids. But if its something more, he needs medication and it could get serious if it is and you dont take him to the doctors. SO TAKE HIM. c

Take him to the emergency room, or find another Doctor, you have to realize the doctor is a quack to let a toddler go that long without finding out why he is sick. Take him to his doctor if you have the nerve to tell him you want answers and you want them now! Please don't let a doctor intimidate you, stick up for your baby. Now do something please!!

Call the doctor every day until he sees your tot and does some blood work. 11 days is WAY too long!! If he does not see him by the 14th day, take him to the ER!!! A tot only has to lose 2-3 pounds for it to be 10% of his body weight, which is not a good sign!! Could be salmonella, e-coli, anything!! Good eye, Mom!! You are doing a great job!!

Get the kid to the ER ASAP!!! Whats taken u so long If the Dr. said its just a bug i'd be finding a new Dr. for something lasting almost 2 weeks
