bath time with both of my twins is driving me crazy because they both want to stand up in the tub. i give them warnings to sit down. i have gotten them new bath toys recently and that worked for a little while. anyone have suggestions on how to handle this problem?oh and they very rarely take baths at the same time. one at a time is sometimes too much to handle!

bubbles are always fun. My 3 year old daughter does the same thing. I tell her if she keeps standing in the tub then she has to get out and sit in time out for not listening. She no longer stands in the tub. She loves her bubble baths. I wish you the best of luck, sounds like you may need it with Twins.

its just a stage they are going through. just try to hold there arm or something so they don't get hurt if they fall, and a non slip mat to prevent slips. Giving them a bath together while there in this stage will probably only make it worse.

I encountered this problem with my toddler too (he's almost 19 months) He would stand up in the bathtub too. I admit there have been a couple of slips where he fell backward while being in the bathtub..He's ok though. What I did is EVERY time I would spot him standing up, I would say Sit down, now! and point down at the same time, as a signal.. Sometimes I would have to pull him down to sit also. I don't have that much of a problem with this anymore, but my toddler likes to test me, like all toddlers do. I still do this though to this day.

Man, I have 3-year-old twin boys and I just let them go at it in the tub. I am right there watching them and they stand up, sit down, stand up, sit down. I just let them do it. The bottom of the tub is protected as well. They play with each other well in the tub. That is just another activity for us. The biggest problem I have is a lot of splashing but whatever. Especially with twins, I pick and choose my battles and that is not one of them. As a matter of fact, they so love to take a bath that I let them stay in there as long as they want, most of the time it's usually 45 minutes! And that's right before bed time. So bath, then bed. Then mommy gets to watch TV or read! Or sleep!! Good luck!
