Default What do you feel are the best clothing to wear on hot day for a toddler?

I just wanted to know what you think is good we are planting our garden. My husbend and I disagree what she should wear. I think shorts and a cool shirt.. He says keep her arms coverd..As long as she has sunblock on I do not see the problem.. Any help here. Thanks Moms

We live in Phoenix where it gets really hot! I usually dress my toddler in shorts and a t-shirt or a light weight summer dress. I would say just make sure it's a cool fabric, that she's wearing sunblock, and keeping the shoulders covered is a good idea too, since they are more prone to burn. A hat also does wonders as far as keeping the sun off her face.

Sunblock or a hat will keep the sun at bay, but rule of thumb with babies and toddlers is : whats comfortable to you! If you are sweating and hot then your toddler/baby is too. My kids spent most summers in t-shirts and shorts. Or just a diaper when in the house! Nice and cool!

Hat, overalls, t shirt, shoes. (Hey, you are planting a garden, and the lil' busy bee will probably be toddling around outside, bees, snakes, etc....)

i always put my daughter in a tank she is 17 months but i put SPF 50 or higher on her and keep a BIG umbrella for shade you don't want her getting to hot! Also freeze water bottles they help cool her off and I buy pedialyte pops and give them to my daughter just to be sure shes not getting dehydrated!!

Make the toddler wear a small outfit.Or the baby will sweat.Make the baby comfy before you start your work.Have cold water in a sipper to make the toddler more comfy....
