play-area, what would you do? I witnessed this yesterday, and it made me think as to what I would do (or what the acceptable behavior is). Would you offer to clean it up (this may be logistically difficult, since you have to take care of your kid and may not even have extra clothes)? Pay/tip the cleaning person? Apologize profusely? Anything else?
Yes, accident means 'pee-pee'. |

Well if that ever happened, I would probably look for one of the janitors at the fast-food place and tell him/her what happened and ask for some equipment to clean it up. I would probably ask someone old enough that's near the play area to watch them while you clean it up. Once your done yes, apologize and also thank the person who was watching your child.

I would offer to clean it up and apologize, but NOT profusely.
Bring a change of clothes for every child/toddler every time you go out. Then you will always be prepared, and won't have to fix a new set until you have to use them. Until my kids got old enough to manage situations on their own, I would always have one set of clothes on hand for each. Sometimes a dry pair of socks, or a fresh shirt make all the difference for comfort on an active day. |
