Glad you've thought about it Karen
I know as soon as I announce I'm pregnant my boss will go mental - he's a man and not a very nice one at that  Only the other week I said "Ive got something to tell you" - and he was like, "oooh god youre not pregnant are you?" I found that quite a horrible thing to say and techinically I could have reported him for it, but all he thinks about is the job. Im looking forward to getting pregnant (now hopefully) but god knows what will happen to me at work, as they cant be horrible, and they will have to find me another role at work the further down the line I am, its such a stressful job and sometimes I wonder if its worth it, but its ok. Im also looking forward to maternity leave, and also knowing I can go back to work after it. Im not going to be a stay at home mum as I know it would drive me mental!!!

I hope you find out good news soon as i know you can wait to be pregnant again  I,m sure they will find another more suitable role for you during the pregnancy - and less stressful. I,m hopefully going to be setting up my own buisness during and mainly after my pregnancy but not saying to much about it yet  You never know lors we might fall pregnant at same time - would'nt that be funny  Good luck with everything lors and dont forget to relax

hi karen,
just a thought if you're thinking of trying for a baby, ideally it's good to get a good 3 month supply of folic acid in your system before you fall pregnant. Take Care x |

He was okay with it, but I think thats only because I was so far gone that he didnt have a say.
Ive read somewhere that taking too much folic acid is bad for you. Its the case of too much of a good thing im afraid. I think its best to take it as soon as you find out your pregnant until the reccomended time of 12 weeks gestation. I dont think you could start taking it 3 months before you get pregnant as you never know when you will concieve, it can take years sometimes!!!

Hiya Karen,
Just found the following and am attaching a link for you to have a nosey through : Thinking of having a baby : Folic acid - an essential ingredient in making babiesDocument type: Publication Author: Department of Health Published date: 04/05/2004 Primary audience: Professional Gateway reference: 2004 Product code: 34627 Pages: 2 Electronic only: No Copyright holder: Crown Copyright You can help protect your baby against spina bifida if you act before you get pregnant. Fortunately, there is something you can do to give your child the best possible chance of not having a neural tube defect. Research shows that a B vitamin called folic acid can greatly reduce the chance of a baby being born with neural tube defects by helping to make sure that the spine develops properly. Medical studies have shown that women who increase their intake of folic acid at the time their baby's spine is forming reduce the risk of having a baby with these conditions. The simplest way to make sure you get enough folic acid to benefit your baby is to take a folic acid supplement every day. They are easy to find in pharmacies, health food shops and most supermarkets and cost around one pound for one month's supply. http://www.dh.gov.uk/PublicationsAnd...396&chk=qwGnmM I TTC Anna for two years and took PregnaCare every day and all was well. |
