Default Am worried about my little boy...

Hi all,

Had an awful scare this morning with Aaron. About 6am he woke up and wouldn't stop crying but a cry like he was in pain. He kept putting his hand over his eyes and saying ow...

We managed to get some medicine down him and about 10 mins later he was asleep.. but then I couldn't wake him up. I stood him up, and he kept flopping down in my arms.

Called the NHS direct line as he seemed unable to focus... within 10 mins of being on the phone, he woke up, smiled at me and started talking about putting on his shoes.

Taken him to nursery but hubby has rung to see how is getting on. He apparently has got upset again and they have given him some more medicine and he is asleep at the moment.

Am really worried about him now but don't want to rush home from work following this morning's antics which nearly resulted in an ambulance being called because we couldn't wake him only for him to giggle like nothing had happened...

Could he just be coming down with something? The sleep thing has really worried me...

BB xx

Hi bb, I have had problems with ella this morning except i think she has a bad throat and ears, she just keeps flopping all over me which is not like her at all.

Have you told the nursey what had happened this morning, I wonder if he was in a very heavy sleep due to the medication and feeling poorly. I would just give the nursery another call just to check he has woken up fron his sleep and to put your mind at rest.

Hi ya,

Yes we told nursery so they are aware. He has had this cold but is coming out the other side. Will do as you suggest and contact the nursery to make sure that he has woken up. We have told them to let him have a bit longer than normal as sometimes he sleeps lots when he is poorly.

It's the best thing having children but nothing seems to stop your heart with worry like them

Thanks x

Got a call from nursery yesterday afternoon as Aaron started getting bad again. Took him to the docs and he has a throat infection.

He is on antibiotics now and seems to have picked up already... it's just not nice when they're poorly.
