this is gonna sound really cack now, but i dont have to punish my kids coz they dont do anything wrong, really, yes they annoy me but they arent bad, i hardly ever shout at them and the majority of the time if i do they start laughing at me and pull faces and we all laugh
i dont know if its because im a single parent and i dont have stresses like a lot of couples, believe me i hear it!! and im quite close to my kids, not saying yous arent ;-) loz is a mini me and tom is the complete opposite, also i think my kids are slightly older than your kids?? dont know if that makes a difference?
i think im very patient with them, and they do run rings round me but i must say i wouldnt have it any other way, its nice and peaceful here....well most of the time
jeez shut up now nita with your wonderful life

Hi

with Alastair I usually only have to threaten to do something and he sorts himself out. Our main problem with him is getting him to do his insulin injections. He trys to delay it as long as possible but we have explained about the dangers of not doing it. I just have to kepp nagging & nagging. But if he wants to go somewhere like swimming he'll do it without being asked!

I only have to raise my voie at Laura and she cries and stops doing what she was

Quite lucky so far with Anna as she's only just started throwing the odd tantrum, when she does I just ignore it and usually get one of her toys or books and start talking aloud to myself about what I'm looking at, within seconds she's over and the tantrum is forgotten.

If she hits me (as she's started doing) I take her to one side, bend down and sternly say 'no, mummy doesn't like it when you do that' and by the tone of my voice she knows I'm not happy, although I am dying to laugh at her cause she can be a right little madam sometimes !

pretty much the same as supernanny does, altho not so often. Liam has actually turned into a charming well behaved little boy lately, I think he's been kidnapped + replaced with someone elses kid!
