I go back to work in 6 weeks time and already am getting upset at the thought of it. I know I have to go back though so will just need to grit my teeth and get on with it.
I really dont know how I'm going to be able to get us all out the house in the morning though and to work on time! I know other people manage, but getting up, showered, dressed, fed, see to Owen and get him up, washed and dressed and fed, without O/H and I falling over each other is beyond me! We'll probably need to leave the house about 8.15 in the morning to get to work on time. Does any one have any tried and tested tips for stress-free mornings?!!! :???: Clare x |

Do everything you can the night before, if lunch boxes need making or bags packing etc, this time of year you could put lunch boxes in the car ready without worrying the food will get warm etc. Also get all clothes out ready for the next day and get breakfast things on the table ready the night before
Good luck with it ;-) |

just what the others have said, i work 2 days a week and am out the house for 8.10am. the night before them two days I iron everything, lay it all out, even down to hairbrushes and bobbles (which you luckily don't have to worry about with a boy !), I make sure I have my shower and my hair is washed the night before to save time and before I go to bed fill the kettle and lay out the cups and toaster etc. i get anna's spare clothes bag ready for school too. I'm always rushing but at least everything is to hand !
you'll find yourself in a week or so, it's difficult but somehow everything falls into place. how many days are you doing ? |

Hi, yo'll soon get into it as others have said, and I must admnit that when I went back to work last yer I was really dreading leaving Eryn as she was so little, but it has made me appeciate the time i do have with them that little bit more.
We get most things ready the night before. But our routine is this. James feeds the girls whilst I get ready, then I am usally done by the time breakfast is cleared away and James has brushed teeth and washed faces. The I take over and dress them whilst he gets himself together. To save time I actually leave clothes at the nursery so I don't have to keep lugging the bags to and from. When James is dressed we put coats on and we bundle the kids into the car together. After feeding the cat and dog. Good luck. |
