Default Weight gain - where does it go?

The average woman gains between 25 and 35 lbs in weight during pregnancy. Do you know where the actual weight gain is if your baby weighs only 9 lbs.? I found this interesting list.
  • 7.5 pounds - average baby's weight
  • 7 pounds - your body's extra stored protein, fat, and other nutrients
  • 4 pounds - your extra blood
  • 4 pounds - your other extra body fluids
  • 2 pounds - breast enlargement
  • 2 pounds - enlargement of your uterus
  • 2 pounds - amniotic fluid surrounding your baby
  • 1.5 pounds - the placenta

Very interesting. I always was under the impression the placenta would be much larger in size and weight.

35 lbs is exactly the weight gain where I ended up at the end of my pregnancy. Got it all off now. I did exercise an hour daily starting 4 weeks after giving birth.
