Question Please help

I am about 10-11 weeks along with my pregnancy. I am incrediably nervous at this point ...

I am wondering about my risk of having a miscarriage and it does not matter who I ask - no one seems to be able to help me. Noboy has an answer for me. I had my last ultrasound in early January and everything was well. The OB saw the little baby fetus and I heard the heart beating. But I guess that says really nothing about the risk of having a miscarriage.
My Mom had 3 miscarriages before she got me. Every time she speaks about this I totally freakout. Any helpful answers would be really appreciated.

Starting around week 13 your chances of having a miscarriage will go down significantly. My OB told me that several studies have shown this. Just keep things slow and live healthy.

If your Mom has a history of miscarriages, did you mention this to your OB? If not, you should. Every good OB will put this into consideration and monitor your pregnancy more closely to make sure everything is going as planned.

Ive always heard the 12/13 week mark is the point where you chances of miscarrying go down dramatically. I was concerned my first trimester/early second trimester because I was severely sick with hypermesis gravidium. I had an ultrasound done at 6 weeks, heartbeat showed up. My OB told me that if heartbeat is detected at 6 or 7 weeks that the chances of miscarriage are barely existant; she said it was because that is a very good sign that the baby is developing fine & normally, most of miscarriages are caused by the baby not developing right or having a genetic problem. I would think that would apply to you as well. Try not to worry and good luck! Kassie
