ttc... is cramping a sign of a period or also for a pregnancy?

I cramped at the beginning of my pregnancy, the same time I should have had my next period, I was paranoid it meant I was going to get my period or have a miscarriage, but it didn't!

Cramping is a sign of both.I was expecting my period and had slight cramping, I assumed my period was soon to arrive well I now have a 6 month old bouncing beautiful baby boy. So yes cramping can be mistaken for period cramps.
