How can we be sure that we really love someone?

well you should be more specific.
Does the person whom the card is for someone who already is going out with you?
or is this card going to be used to express your love for the first time.
If its the second one, then i can't help, otherwise basically just tell them how much you love them, what good times you had, and how much you loved those times. Be sure to compliment the other person about how they looked during those good times, and just in general.
Guys and Girls both love it when you spend lot of time into making a huge letter. Poeticness is cute, but sometimes can be corny. I don't recommend a poem.
